Some top tips on how to avoid pest problems such as rats, mice, insects and so on

1. Keep household rubbish in rodent proof bins.

2. Keep outside area free of rubbish.

3. Keep compost in proper bins.

4. Keep sheds raised off floor by approx. 3 inches.

5. Do not put food out for wild life.

6. Fill holes and cracks in buildings and gaps under doors. (Remember MICE can get through 10mm holes).

7. Door ways should have a barrier (see image below)

8. Air vents should be covered with a fine mesh (see image below)

9. A band of high gloss paint can help prevent climbing (see image below)
